Military plane originally meant for scuba-diving site diverts Liberty Road traffic (Melissa Mooneyhan)Traffic along Liberty Road in Eldersburg was briefly affected Monday morning, for a very unusual reason.

The fuselage of an Air Force C-130 cargo plane was being towed on a flatbed truck when it got stuck, temporarily, at the busy Route 26 junction with Sykesville Road.

Several passersby snapped photos of the massive wingless plane in the middle of a suburban intersection.

State troopers, who headed to the scene shortly after 11:30 a.m., said the plane convoy was not really stuck, but just had trouble navigating a tight turn.
