Eminem fans watch him cry ‘for the first time’ after being told he’s becoming a grandad in emotional new video

Eminem announced he’s going to be a grandfather in his new music video ‘Temporary’

Eminem fans are delighted for the veteran rapper after he gets told he’s becoming a grandad in an emotional new music video.

Viewers said it was the ‘first time’ they’ve ever seen the 51-year-old ‘cry’ as his daughter Hailie Jade Scott delivers the good news.

In the music video for ‘Temporary’, Eminem is sat outside on the patio as the 28-year-old hands over a blue jersey that reads ‘Grandpa 1’.

With the whole thing being filmed, the dad-of-three looks visibly stunned as the pair share an intimate moment.

Hailie Jade, who married her long-term partner Evan McClintock earlier this year, also shows him an ultra scan of the baby.

As the Grammy-winning artist from Detroit takes a look at the picture, fans think they’ve witnessed a first as his eyes well up.

Earlier into music video, he also appears to cry on his daughter’s wedding day.

A shocked Eminem then holds the image up to the camera and looks like the proudest dad/soon-to-be grandad in the world.

Commenting on the video, one person said: “Eminem crying is the last thing I expected to see… Dad and daughter bond is truly amazing… Loved this song.”

“This is the first time I’ve actually seen Eminem start crying. You can see it under his glasses,” a second penned.

“The hardest rapper alive is crying. I am crying right now,” a third said.

“It wasn’t Slim Shady, Eminem, or Marshall, it was father to daughter. Can’t wait for the follow up song for his grand child soon to come! Congratulations,” wrote a fourth.

At the start of the music video, Eminem plays old videos of dad and daughter when they were younger.

“A lot of people ask me, am I afraid of death? The truth is, I think what scares me the most is not being able to say all the things I wanna say to you when I’m no longer here,” he begins.

“So this song is for Hailie, for when that day comes.”

Eminem then asks: “Where is Hailie? Where is she at?”

“This ain’t Hailie,” she says, before her dad asks: “Who is it?”

“It’s a monster,” the girl replies while.

All while, Eminem raps about the idea of him, one day, no longer being here, saying: “Yeah, so Hailie Jade, I wrote you this song to help you cope with life now that I’m gone.

“How should I start? Just wanna say, look after Alaina, Stevie, and Uncle Nate, and, sweetie, be strong, I know I was your rock.

“And I still am, saying goodbye is just not ever easy. But why you crying? Just stop Hailie, baby, dry your eye, this is not forever.”

“The hardest rapper alive is crying. I am crying right now.”

Fresh Eminem content is here and the rapper is proving that music videos are still relevant.

With Slim Shady seemingly killed off, the 51-year-old has shown his softer, vulnerable side as fans reckon it’s the first time they’ve seen him ‘cry’.

The music video for ‘Temporary’ dropped yesterday (3 October) and Eminem appears to sob when he sees his daughter Hailie Jade in her wedding dress.

Released back in July, the track is from The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) and includes a heartbreaking message to his 28-year-old daughter in the event of his death.

Eminem fans know the star has included Hailie in much of his music, never shying away from the regret of not being around when she was growing up.

And this new video shows just how much of an effort he’s evidently made to be a loving father figure to the podcast host.

We’re shown various clips of a young Hailie growing up, right up to her wedding day earlier this year and the moment he’s told he’s going to be a grandad.

Hailie married Evan McClintock back in May and announced the news around the time on social media.

The ‘Temporary’ video shows more of that special day as a black suited and booted Marshall Bruce Mathers III walks in to see his daughter dressed up in her white gown and veil.

Eminem looks massively proud as he removes his shades to give her a hug before being lost for words. And totally overcome by emotion, the rapper appears to let out a few sobs while looking at his grown up, bride-to-be daughter.

We also get to see them sharing another sweet moment before walking her down the aisle, Hailie handing Eminem a gift bag and card and the pair sharing a dad-and-daughter dance at the wedding reception.

Fans were quick to comment: “The hardest rapper alive is crying. I am crying right now.”

As others said it was ‘the most human thing’ they’ve ever seen.

“Eminem just made millions of fathers cry their eyes out,” another fan added.

One even said: “Eminem crying is the last thing I expected to see… Dad and daughter bond is truly amazing… Loved this song.”

And as the rapper included the news he’s becoming a granddad towards the end of the music video, another wrote: “It wasn’t Slim Shady, Eminem, or Marshall, it was father to daughter. Can’t wait for the follow up song for his grandchild soon to come! Congratulations.”

Eminem has confronted his infamous alter-ego Slim Shady for the first time ever in an expletive filled new interview.

Easily recognised by his peroxide cropped hair and unapologetic attitude, Slim has been a long-running fixture in the Grammy award winning rapper’s career and the centre of many of Eminem’s many controversies over the years.

Now – thanks to a clever intervention from AI – the rapper, 51, has been given the chance to confront his darker self – and he’s got plenty of things he’d like to say.

Following the release of his album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) Eminem – real name Marshall Mathers – sat down opposite an AI created Slim Shady in an interview with Complex, and things got pretty heavy and very sweary.

Shady wasted no time in attributing Eminem’s extremely successful career to himself, declaring that he had been sent into the future by Dr Dre to ‘save our career’ from an older and wiser Mathers.

“I’ve been sent from the past to save our career,” Shady declared.

“Everything people think of when they think of Eminem, is f***ing yours truly.”

Not content there, Shady went on to claim that all of the successes in Eminem’s career came through him.

“We sold all that s**t off my back, bitch. Don’t get it twisted,” he said.

“You had one era that mattered, mine… From the blonde hair to the middle finger to the f**king jokes, all of it, me.

“And if we’re being honest, the music that you’ve been dropping since I’ve bounced ain’t it, for real. When I heard your last s**t, I thought that shit was f**king A.I.”

However, a ‘grown-up’ Mathers wasn’t going to take the insults and the claims over the successes of his career lying down, with the rapper firing back by blaming Shady for nearly destroying his life.

“You didn’t fix anything. You actually made that s*** worse,” he exclaimed.

“You’re the reason I had to self-medicate. Because of you I almost lost my f***ing career, my f***ing family, my life.”

The face-off between Eminem and his alter-ego provided the rapper with an unique opportunity to finally face off with the darker side of himself and the many controversies – especially since younger generations of listeners have been ‘cancelling’ him on social media.

Regardless of Slim Shady’s assertions that he made Eminem’s career, the rapper’s 12th studio album – which saw the alter-ego killed off – has been a massive hit with fans – debuting at Number One on the Billboard charts, securing the top spot from Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department.
